Wildlife Photography Tips

1. One of the most important things when it comes to getting high quality shots in the wildlife is to be very patient, that may sound simple but it can be hard when you are waiting for a long time, it can become very frustrating, the important thing to realize is that it will pay off when you have the perfect photo's later on.

2. Wildlife photographs are much better when the animals are in normal behavior in their natural environment, don't try to create settings and backgrounds or activities, just photograph the animals as they naturally are in the environment.

3. Get to work early in the morning. The best natural light is early in the morning and late afternoon, so you should be up and ready to get to work early on, otherwise you may find you have missed the best opportunities.

4. Practice photographing moving wildlife. Some of your best photos may come from shots of moving animals, this is definitely something you should practice and improve on, you can practice in your backyard even.

5. Understand the size difference between the animals. This is very simple yet still should be pointed out, small animals usually need to be close in order to get a good picture, big animals can usually be shot from far away, although this sounds pretty simple, the distance between you and the animal can make a big difference to the quality of the photo.
